Huchen fishery on the Sana River in Bosnia

There are countless other examples, but one thing is for sure, there are only a few stretches in Europe where huchen fishing as good as here is possible. There are some other routes with similar populations, but the totally protected route at our elite C&R area is unique.

The river

The Sana River lies in the catchment area of the Una, the largest river  Bosnia. Wonderfully embedded between the Dragon Rocks, the Sana flows alternately over shallow rushes into deep pools, the open vegetation and variety give this river a very special charm. No matter where you look, the water is literally littered with hot spots. The depth of the water in the noise is between 1 and 1.5 meters, in the pools it can quickly get 5 meters deep. Of course, there are also areas that can suddenly become deeper. The bank areas are very pleasant and easy to walk on. Changes of location can be done quickly without great effort and thus offer a multitude of possibilities. No valuable fishing time is lost due to short distances!

The huchen population

The huchen population on the Sana is excellent. During the fishing on Christmas Eve not so long ago, our clients landed and released 7 huchen within a very short time. The fish can be observed again and again in the clear water of the river, which makes you want more.
